Kevlar

A great many things have shaped Kevlar over the years. The man has a labyrinthine, meandering relationship with music- nothing of what you'd expect from a humble drum & bass DJ. A jazz saxophonist for over 2 decades, Kevin studied music theory and enjoyed success in several award-winning bands.
His beginnings as a DJ were humble and... not what you might expect for a musician of his caliber, having begun spinning in 2005 with top 40 hip-hop and rock music. After a couple years doing this, followed by a couple more on hiatus, Kevlar was introduced to the dance music scene in 2013.
It was not long before he was introduced to the world of drum & bass, and in particular the sub-genre of liquid d&b, a style which resonated passionately with his jazz roots. Be it liquid, jump-up or neurofunk drum & bass, you can count on his extensive musical tutelage to make Kevlar's next set a memorable one.
